The Big Island Liturgy & Arts conference is sponsored by BILAC (Big Island Liturgy & Arts Center).

This three day conference offers two evening concerts with performances by liturgical musicians and composers from across the Nation.

In this Conference we offer four sessions of workshops on topics involving liturgical and musical ministries and community building resources.  We have workshops for planning the Churches Seasons of Advent for Christmas, Lent & Easter Implementing the liturgical and musical aspects for each season.

Community building aspects include workshops for death and dying, health and well being, liturgical dance, environmental art, liturgy planning & enculturation.

November 13, 2008-Thursday:

Check in to hotel.

November 14, 2008 Friday:

6:00 p.m. Registration Opens at Mystical Rose Chapel (Chaminade University/Saint Louis   School)
7:00 p.m.  Evening Concert with David Haas, Bobby Fisher, Kate Cuddy, Lori True, Tony Alonso, Mark Anderson, Eileen Bird, Joe Camacho, Paulette Ching and Laimana Bulosan a me Na Haumana O Hui `Imi La`akea.
 

November 15, 2008 Saturday:

7:30   a.m. Registration Opens at Mystical Rose Chapel
8:30   a.m. Morning prayer at Mystical Rose Chapel
9:00   a.m. Keynote Presentation by Dr. Diana Hayes
10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon - Workshop session A

12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Lunch

1:30 - 3:00 p.m.  Workshop Session B
3:00 - 4:00 p.m.  Free time to shop at Bookstore/prepare for Closing prayer service.
4:00 - 5:30 p.m.  Closing Prayer Service/Eucharist at Mystical Rose Chapel.
6:00 p.m. till Pau - Closing Banquet in the Dining Room of Chaminade University.

SATURDAY BANQUET:  This banquet fee is totally separate from the ENTIRE CONFERENCE REGISTRATION, And you may pay for it by adding the $25. to your closing fee.
